Our Story
Hi! My name is Erin and thanks for stopping by! My quilt journey began in 2019 when I started making quilts for our two little girls. Inspired by their favorite storybook characters, my journey began making wholecloth applique quilts. Bursting with creativity, Hexen Haus quickly became the home for young readers who love to cuddle with quilts.
Over the next several years my love for the craft continued. In 2024, I realized I had the itch to learn something new and expand the shop. With a Masters in Teaching and a degree in graphic design, I really wanted to blend everything together and publish my own designs. Not just one design but multiple so quilters could choose what inspires them most! This was the beginning of Quilt Brew®.
In August 2024, my first Quilt Brew® pattern, Night Folly, was released. Inspired by my family’s favorite holiday and witchy relatives from Salem, MA, Quilt Brew’s® patterns continue to bring fun and whimsical designs to the modern quilt world. These patterns are jammed packed with options as quilters can choose their own layouts, mix and match blocks, and manipulate units to brew their own design. Quilt Brew® patterns have been featured in multiple issues of the world-wide Make Modern magazine and catalogues for Andover fabrics. Keep an eye on this name because you never know what could come next!
Thank you for being here and reading our story. I’m so excited to share my quilt craft with you!

Our Name
Our 1820s stone farmhouse lies in the foothills of Williams Township near Easton, Pennsylvania. Our name was inspired by the close historical landmark, Hexenkopf Rock, also known as "Witch's Head."
Historical records show that Ancient Native American tribes and eventually German settlers performed healing rituals known as '’powwows” at the rock. These rituals healed the sick by drawing out evil spirits and capturing them. Legend has it that some of these spirits roam the woods today.
This local historic landmark combined with my family’s love for Halloween inspired us to name the shop, Hexen Haus, home of Quilt Brew® designs ~ limitless patterns for quilters! Who doesn't love magic, mystery, and adventure?!
